Access to Treatment
If you are suffering from substance abuse and addiction problems, it’s important to know that help is available — wherever you are. There are many reasons to pursue treatment through telehealth, and often they’re related to overcoming barriers to care. These might include the stigma associated with seeking help, lack of access to providers, an inability to take time away from work or other responsibilities, and the cost of traveling to a location.
Telehealth uses HIPAA-compliant technology, including telephone-based services, smartphone applications, videoconferencing, and web-based tools, to provide addiction treatment services without requiring patients to travel to an office.
Compliment to Services
Telehealth provides an opportunity and an option for individuals who otherwise wouldn’t seek help for a variety of personal and structural reasons. It is not a substitute for face-to-face treatment, but an extension of our residential program to maintain the patient relationship. Using telehealth as a branch of addiction treatment allows our patients, therapists and Psychiatrist to exchange information that provides invaluable insights into lifestyle, stress levels, and patient self-care. Weekly group and individual sessions provided. Psychiatric evaluations available upon request.
“Many clients tell us they have never sought treatment due to barriers around transportation, school, time off from work and childcare. When it came to prioritizing these life areas, their own self-care was the first thing to go.”
