This training will present the impact of human trafficking on mental and physical health and will equip participants with the tools to identify, screen and respond to clients who may be victims of human trafficking. The training will also emphasize trauma-informed responses to human trafficking, review strategies for evidence-based treatment of symptoms and highlight programmatic interventions for victims of human trafficking.
Training Objectives:
- Explain risk factors for human trafficking;
- Describe the effects of human trafficking on mental and physical health;
- Apply tools to identify, screen and respond to clients who may be victims of human trafficking;
- Discuss how to integrate trauma-informed practices, evidence-based treatment and highlight programmatic interventions into services for victims of human trafficking.
