Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept Medicaid?
While we do have agreements in place with some areas, we recommend that you please give us a call and speak with an admissions specialist who can help you with your specific case.
How long is your detox?
Detoxification is a medical procedure, so it is completely dependent upon the person’s use history, vital signs, and level of withdrawal. Everyone’s detoxification is different.
Do you have visitation?
At this time, we allow patients to use their phones for virtual visitation.
How much will this cost out-of-pocket?
This will vary patient to patient depending on your insurance. It is best that you call and speak with an admissions specialist who can help you with your coverage information.
Can you accommodate transgender individuals?
Yes. Livengrin does not discriminate based upon race, religion or sexual orientation. All are welcome here.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, please advise your admissions specialist about any dietary restrictions upon your intake session.
Will I have my own room?
Usually, there are two patients per room. Each residential room has its own bathroom and ample space to enjoy some privacy when necessary.
Are there TVs in the rooms?
There are TVs in the common areas in the residence, as well as the main hall.
Do you have a gym?
Can I go outside?
Yes! In fact, Livengrin sits on a beautiful 44-acre campus perfect for an afternoon walk.
Are there phones?
Yes.
Am I going to be locked in a room?
Absolutely not! You are here for recovery and a large part of that is being able to experience self-care and reflection.
Is this like a hospital?
While we do provide medical care, Livengrin is an open space that feels warm and inviting.
Is my job / probation officer going to find out?
We do not communicate with anyone about your care unless you have signed a release. Even in those cases, information is limited. Confidentiality is only broken when the patient is an imminent danger to themselves, others, or if the counselor suspects child, elder, or dependent adult abuse.
Is smoking permitted?
Smoking is permitted in designated areas located throughout the campus.
Do you offer payment plans?
Both admissions staff and patient care coordinators are versed in available options for payment. Please contact us by phone.
Is there a psychiatrist?
The Medical Director of the facility is Dr. James Cornish, M.D. who is a board-certified psychiatrist.
Do I bring my own medications?
You should bring any necessary medications with you, and our medical team will assist in administering them throughout your stay.
What should I bring?
See “What to bring” list here.
Does Livengrin provide the foundation for a successful program of recovery?

Our comprehensive programming includes relapse prevention strategies, aftercare planning to include patient care coordination and outpatient treatment, and the ability to stay connected through our alumni program.
